When one thinks Mickey Mouse, one thinks Disney. And when one thinks Disney, one may think musicals. And when they think of Disney musicals, they think of songs like this. The question shouldn’t be “why?” but rather “why not?”
“Indeed, if you’re making a Disney game, why not a musical? Ever since the very first Mickey Mouse cartoon, Steamboat Willie (one of the first to feature synchronized sound), the studio and music have been intertwined. It’s doubtful Snow White and the Seven Dwarves would have been the megahit it was without “Whistle While You Work,” “Heigh-Ho,” and “Someday My Prince Will Come.” Many people associate Disney with the great songs created for their films in the late ’80s and ’90s, including Aladdin’s “Friend Like Me” and The Lion King’s “Hakuna Matata.””
It’s only natural since Disney has a rep with these kinds of things. Epic Mickey 2, apparently, will be part musical as well. This isn’t the first time a game has done this as Nightmare Before Christmas had this a few years back. The only difference is that it’ll feature original songs in the game so that’s something to look forward to. Yes, you should be excited. What’s Disney without its music?

Gotta love 2D action-physics based platformers. Especially the ones that look this vibrant and awesome. Check out the trailer, I’m sold.
Finally! Our needs to satisfy our dinosaur fetishes has been answered. Lets be honest here…Terra Nova is just Terrably lame and who the hell wants to ride Jurassic Park at Universal Studios over and over?–Especially now that Backdraft isn’t even there to dry us off!?
Well, the guys at Telltale games felt the same way so on November 15, 2011 they’re releasing this masterpiece. Take a look…
Definitely a nice change of pace from the typical games I’m used to playing. I’m loving all the “death by Dino” animations–kind of like Dead Space death scenes (say this five times fast).

For the Elder Scrolls fans: is gaming not enough? Looking for something else to pass the time? Author Greg Keys has written a second Elder Scrolls novel: Lord Of Souls. The copies go on sale tomorrow and they don’t even require a gaming console to play through.
For the skeptics who are unsure of how the book will turn out you can read a sample through the link here. The sample contains the first fifty pages of the novel so you can decide for yourself whether this book is worth buying or not. It adds a different perspective to the game–one where you don’t have to worry about skill checks or stat management or completing quests. If you’re into those things, I’m sorry the book doesn’t offer those options.
The book is available in download or paperback form and is sold in the usual major book stores like Amazon.com and Barns & Noble.
