I have heard so much about this game in the past weeks that I decided to look into it. I did some research on this game and saw that it has gotten a lot of rave reviews from different publications such as GamePro and Game Informer.

The game itself looks amazing with interesting characters and formidable enemies. I am a fan of RPG games so I am immediately taken in by what this game has to offer. I am definitely going to check it out and you should too if you like what you see.

Xenoblade Chronicles was released on April 6 for Nintendo Wii.

Mickey returns but with a sidekick!

Check out the trailer and game footage for, Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two. This game is expected to be released in September for Nintendo Wii, PS3 and Xbox360.

I am looking forward to playing this after playing the first game. Who would have thought that a game based on Mickey Mouse would be so fun? Epic Mickey was definitely not a happy and bouncy game geared towards children. The game was rather dark and showed a different side to Mickey rather than the cute and eternally cheerful representation that is attributed to him.

This time around, Mickey teams up with Oswald, the main protagonist of the first game. Oswald will follow Mickey during the game and provide Mickey with much needed help on their journey. Gamers will be able to utilize Oswald or have a second player control him.

Check out this still of Pikachu cosplaying as each of the Avengers.  How sick is that?  Officially, these are all the same size, so I just made the Hulk on a bit larger because it seemed fitting.  The Thor Pikachu is a bit redundant, (a woodland rat creature capable of shooting lightning, dressed as a god from a distant planet who is also capable of shooting lightning)   but the idea of a Hulk Pikachu scares me.

First off, we can immediately write off #5. Knuckles, Tails, Scratch, Grounder, Metal Sonic, and the Freedom Fighters EASILY beats out ho-hum characters like Luigi, Toad, Wario, Waluigi, and Peach. That being said, the remaining points are valid and are extremely hard to argue against.

However, the entire base of this argument is moot. If you’re a follower of Screwattack’s Death Battle series, you already know a victor has been decided.

As we inch nearer to the ultimate gaming mecca (better known as E3), a very special type of gaming news seems to flood out of the woodwork, the rumors.  Now, Pre-E3 rumors almost never end up being true, but that doesn’t stop the millions of gamers from salivating at their potential.

Here’s some of the latest Wii U Rumors.

- Wii U models at E3 2011 and CES 2011 didn’t house optical drives
- games were put onto SD cards
- E3 2012 will see Wii U games off of SD cards and USB thumb drives
- Wii U size may have changed slightly, but in what direction we do not know
- redesigned Zapper and Classic Controller are being prepared
- Nintendo-branded HDMI cable is also being prepared
- Retro’s project will be shown at E3 2012 and is ‘massive’
- Wii U camera may have been upgraded to .7MP
- voice chat is up and running
- lots of Wii U/3DS software at Nintendo’s E3 2012 booth
- if there are any other last-minute mods to the Wii U, EA and Ubisoft are the only 3rd parties to know

Some of this information isn’t too exiting.  For instance, the .7 MP camera… honestly  I didn’t realize the megapixel number could be that small.  Also, while I’m pumped at the possibility of Nintendo finally moving into the true HD era, the thought of having to deal with proprietary “Nintendo-branded HDMI”  cables makes me want to punch a baby.

A possible size change (in any direction) is almost always a good thing.  I SERIOUSLY doubt they’ll be stripping features, unless they are truly unnecessary.  And if that’s the case, a larger unit could mean more features, and more features will always be a good thing.  A smaller unit could also mean they might be going with newer, smaller, faster chips and hardware.

I’m also loving the possibility of games running off SD cards or USB thumb drives.  Voice chat will also be a welcomed feature if it’s implemented.  And a redesigned zapper and classic controller?  Uhh yes, please?  That sounds like a great idea.

Rumors will be rumors, but holy hell if some of these come to fruition Nintendo might actually have a decent system on their hands.

You’ve heard that right. a bunch of hardcore game nerds actually sniffed out what looks to be a list of potential cars that could appear in Rockstar Games’ next hit, Grand Theft Auto V. Not much is known about the game, other than the trailer released and the butt-load of people trying to decode the trailer as if it were some ancient tablet with cryptic writings on it. A group of users over on the GTA Forums may have stumbled upon a very interesting list of information hidden among the on-disc files for Max Payne 3.

First of all, credit goes to Fantaseb/Twisted89, zzcool, and blasternl over on gtaforums.com for discovering and compiling this information.

So, it seems a vehicles.ide file on the Max Payne 3 disc may indeed be giving us a look at what we could expect from vehicles in GTA V. The list of vehicles in the file is far longer than what Max Payne 3 features, and the information is presented in a file format said to be identical to vehicle files for Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. Why would such a file be present on Max Payne 3? Both games are being crafted using Rockstar’s RAGE engine, and it makes total sense that vehicle models for Max Payne 3 could be used in Grand Theft Auto V (and vise versa).

Of course, there are a bunch of people that play NBA 2k12 online and choose the Miami Heat. They are seriously the “cheesiest” team in the game. Sometimes, there is no way you can stop LeBron James; especially when he is on the break. He is their main man when it comes to playing against people online. What I notice is that everyone (well, mostly) gives the ball to LeBron and just drives in to dunk in your face with ease. Is this fair? Hell no. But there are ways to stop them from using this strategy in every offensive possession. Here are a few tips to stop LeBron James (or any cheesy player who drives in the paint at least):

1) When they take the ball down the court, once they start running, try to give them the bump by the half court line so that it throws off their rhythm when driving down the lane. This will force them to play half-court offense, which is the best way to make sure they don’t have easy scores. When you bump them, you have to make sure you know where they’re going to go, and get close to them and hopefully you get the “bumping” animation. If you don’t get it by the half-court line, it’s pretty much a dunk.

2) Once you get them in the half-court offense, make sure to force LeBron or anyone to shoot jump shots. NO INSIDE SHOTS. Even though the team has a bunch of shooters, it is much easier to score in the paint than it is to shoot three-pointers. Make sure you contest EVERY jump shot, though. It is much easier to make jump shots online for some reason, so make sure you are in their faces at all times when they shoot.

3) Make sure to get the ball out of the hands of LeBron. Easier said than done, but this is a really big help. If LeBron doesn’t have the ball, the offense will have a little more trouble because usually a Miami Heat cheeser will mainly know how to play with LeBron and that is it. They might do something with Wade, but most of the time, LeBron is their only guy. Note: there may be some players who aren’t cheesers, so watch out for that too. Those are the people who will be harder to beat. But the main key is get the ball out of his hands, and make other people score!
